Nubra Valley

It is not a new fact that the natural beauty of the state of Jammu and Kashmir has made people call it Heaven on Earth. Indeed, it is one of the most beautiful places on the face of the earth. Unparalleled charm and natural beauty make it a state that has great tourist influx even after being subject to disputes.

Out of the many places with a magical aura, Nubra Valley has its own signature statement. Like the rest of Ladakh, Nubra Valley also is a high altitude desert. It rarely rains in this part of the country and the vegetation is also very scanty. However, villages are fertile and irrigated. Wheat production, apples, apricots, almonds, walnut and a variety of fruits are found here. Along the Nubra river villages like Sumur, Kyagar (called Tiger by the Indian Army), Tirith and Panami lie. The Nubra river is a tributary of the Shyok river that flows through the Ladakh region of India and meets the Indus river in Pakistan.
