All the Things You Must Know About Bratislava Nightlife
When it comes to nightlife, Bratislava turns into Partyslava! There are many nightlife places to go to in the Old Town where most of the action takes place. But there are also several establishments outside of the center that you should be checking out.
Pubs, bars and restaurants close around 12:00 am. Some bars and most nightclubs close between 2:00 – 2:30 am. There are also some after-hours bars on offer, they are open all night but peaks around 3:00 am.
Below is my tips to where the various "crowds" of the city go out for their nightlife fun:
Popular student places
The local university crowd tends to hang out in a popular student campus called Mlynská Dolina. I have been to some of the most notable campus clubs: Elam, Ali Baba, Club 39, Aura, Mlyn, Prima, and Unique. During the semesters, they are always filled with local students and revelers. Take buses 39 or 31 and the bus stop is Cintorín Slávičie údolie.
Other popular student bars and pubs are Bar Baron on 31 Commerce Street where beer is pretty cheap; small beer €0.60 and large beer is €1.00. At Hysteria pub on 63/9 Odbojárov Street beer is €1.19/glass.

Where the rich and beautiful go out to dance
If you want a taste of where the filthy rich and up-scale people go to party with a dress code, go
to Primi at St. Michael’s Gate for a great place to mingle with many jet-setters and beautiful people. Stroll down St. Michael’s Gate and hit Remix Bar on 16 Venturska Street to another hot spot. Right after you can skip to Trafo on the corner of Panská and Ventúrska. While across the New Bridge, UFO is always hosting a lavish party.
Hip Area & Chilling Out Crowd
For most party goers, the centre is the place where most of the night clubs, bars, and pubs are happening. Behind Eurovea Galleria along the Danube River, there are many new café’s and restaurants to go to enjoy music and drinks.
If you are a trance fan go to Sub-Club, a night club under the Old Castle where after hour parties are always on. Rockers should go to Alligator Pub on Laurinská Street for their metal and rock music.
By St. Michael’s Gate, if you like Latin music, Casa Del Havana is perfect for dancing and fun. Not to far away at Župné square, Channels awaits you with a three-floor dance club. Usually, the night clubs and bars in the centre close between 2:00 -2:30 am. But take your dancing shoes to Radost chill out bar, an after hours club, on 48 Commerce Street.
My personal favorite places to chill out are Nu Spirit on 16 Medená Street (it’s practically my neighbour!) and Nu Spirit II at Šafárikovo square.
I hope this information gave you the necessary insight to go out and enjoy everything that Bratislava has to offer. Spend your time in the city wisely, and do try to make the most of it when you are out and about drinking and having fun.
