Corsica is a hidden island paradise in the Mediterranean Sea. Famous for its one-of-a-kind fusion of old world French charm and Italian tradition, Corsica is celebrated across the world for its unspoiled and magnificent environment and the warm spirit of its eco-conscious residents. Corsica is also the historic birthplace of famous French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte and the heart of France's best wines and produce, not to mention home to some incredibly pristine beaches.

Those seeking the true natural splendor of Corsica need not look further than Corte. The symbolic capital of the island, Corte is located in the central territory of Corsica. Part of a national nature park, Corte has some of the island's most beautiful forests, plains and beaches. But more than just and beach getaway or hikers dream, Corte is also the birthplace of Corsica's rich history and culture, told today through the city's magnificent monuments and grand buildings.

Heading to the island's east coast, Bastia is bright and vibrant town full of life and history. Corsica's own little Italy, Bastia overlooks the country that influenced it and remains today infused with the heart, tradition and spirit of the Italians who ruled the city for centuries. The centre of Bastia is a jewel of ancient architecture with a modern and stylish atmosphere, and is home to some of the island's best shops and restaurants.

Calvì is another of Corsica's do-not-miss destinations. Internationally recognized for its history and the extraordinary beauty of its monuments, churches and architecture, Calvì boasts a charming mix of natural beauty and a rich historical heritage, making it unlike anywhere else in the world. Calvì is also the centre of the island's religious culture. From the Church of St. John the
Baptist to the Church of St Maria Maggiore, Calvì churches are more than just beautiful monuments, they are also the custodians of some incredible works of arts.

Then there's Ajaccio. This spellbinding seaside beauty has everything that makes Corsica such a captivating holiday destination. Right on the western coast of the island, Ajaccio encapsulates the island's port atmosphere. Enjoy incredible fish delicacies. Relax by the bay. Watch the picturesque boats come into port and enjoy the calm of the waves as they hit the docks.

But Corsica wouldn't be an island paradise if it wasn't for its surreal scenery and breathtaking beaches. And visitors to the island need not look further than Bonifaccio. Blessed with the perfect mix of brilliant rocky coastline and lush, verdant countryside, Bonifaccio is simply spectacular. Calm and warm seas, velvet, creamed-coloured sand and picturesque, verdant plains. The perfect place to escape to.

Santa Giulia may not have the history of Corte or the chic style of Bastia but that doesn't stop it from drawing tourists year after year. A beach half-way between Porto Vecchio and Bonifacio, Santa Giulia attracts visitors from far and wide for one reason, because it's simply exquisite. More like a tropical lagoon that a beach, Santa Giulia hides the splendors of the Mediterranean Sea and is filled with beautiful local species of fish and reef.
