Birmingham is one of the famous cities in the United Kingdom, and is located in the Midlands region of England. It is the second largest city in the UK and is one of the most important industrial and cultural centers of the region. Due to its importance this city was completely destroyed in the Second World War. It has since been rebuilt to restore its former glory. As such the city skyline is a mixture of old and new and you can find many modern buildings standing next to the old and architecturally superior ancient buildings. Due to its central location, easy access, historical and cultural richness Birmingham is one of the most important tourist destinations in UK.
There are many important places to visit in and around Birmingham. These places will make your trip more enjoyable for you and your family. The city of Birmingham is one of the historical cities in the United Kingdom and as such has many historically important places. One of the important places that you may want to visit is the Birmingham Botanical Gardens and Glasshouses in Edgbaston.
