Dublin, Ireland has several world class exhibition venues with locations such as the RDS (Royal Dublin Society) Exhibition Centre and the city plays host to many international standards shows. Below we look at some of your favourites.

The Autumn Gift and Home Fair - Every August, Dublin plays host to the Autumn Gift and Home Fair and this draws in visitors from around the world. The fair normally acts as one of the most important events in Dublin’s trade show calendar and attract over 4000 participants. The fair - highlights many of the most important changes taking place in the home wares and gifts industry, featuring some of the best suppliers from Ireland and the rest of the world. This show receives much publicity as it popular not only with trades people, but with the general public as well. The exhibition is the perfect place for people to buy gifts for the upcoming holiday season as there are a number of exhibitors who set up stalls for the event, the main categories being Gifts and Handicrafts, Design Led products and Home Wares.

The main feature of the exhibition is the Product of the Show Awards ceremony, which takes place at the end of the fair. Here, awards are presented to the best products at the fair in many differ
ent categories like best candle and pot pourri, best kitchen, best tabletop, best jewellery and so on. There is even an overall prize for the best product exhibit awarding the winner a grand prize.

Toys 4 Big Boys is another show which gains a lot of media attention and attracts both people who work in the trade and people from the general public. This is a real fun event and one which men with money in particular, tend to enjoy. The latest sports cars, electronic gadgets, themed holidays and menswear, are just a few of the things you can expect to see. There are many opportunities to easily get enticed into buying something so beware.

The Food & Wine Xmas Show - is a relatively new show which is fast gaining popularity and which is organised in relationship with the Food and Wine Magazine. This is a delightful show to attend if you want the chance to try many food samples and to have the chance, if you are not driving, to try many various wines, hot spicy ciders and other popular Christmas drinks. This is a great show for spending a few hours relaxing and given the location is the RDS Exhibition Centre, on the edge of Dublin centre, it is easy to combine this show with your festive shopping.
